"We are doing this so that the tiny minority of people who do this don't spoil the show for everyone." It took almost a full 25 kilometres for a bloodied and bruised peloton to fully regroup, but they would soon be split again as another crash ripped through the group. It left former winner Chris Froome struggling to get back to his feet - though he did eventually ride in.
