During the 1920’s riders would share cigarettes before a steep climb, believing that the smoke would open their lungs and allow for a better performance. This was one of the fun facts about the Tour de France that we couldn’t believe!
Au cours des années 1920, les coureurs partageaient des cigarettes avant une montée raide, croyant que la fumée ouvrirait leurs poumons et permettrait une meilleure performance. C'était l'un des faits amusants sur le Tour de France que nous ne pouvions pas croire!
